So not being the biggest fan of Bollywood movies, I approached Mangal Pandey with my normal reservations about the typical Hindi film -- set for three hours of trite dialogs, songs and dance extravaganzas, and acting comparable to a high school drama. Continuing on our search for interesting cuisine, Naush and I decided to make a trip out to Candelas in the historic Gas Lamp Quarter of San Diego. The place was billed as offering "nouvelle cuisine from Mexico" and had high ratings from Zagats, so we knew we couldn't go wrong.
